Touch Screen Controls
The IVC controller is designed to be used in conjunction with the Interceptor®-VE™ explosion isolation pinch valve to prevent explosion propagation from one vessel to another through interconnected piping.
The controller features the ability to operate up to four isolation valves at a time. A user interface is provided by a touch screen and three signaling lights on the front of the controller enclosure.
The interface includes a searchable data log and an easy to use actuation button for cycle testing the valve. Dry contact relays are provided by the controller to signal for actuation of the valve and wear line monitoring.
The Interceptor®-VE™ is a NFPA 69 compliant isolation pinch valve. The Interceptor®-VE™ valve is normally open. Upon receiving a signal from either a pressure responder or an optical sensor the Interceptor®-VE™ controller is designed to immediately signal the Interceptor®-VE™ valve.
The Interceptor®-VE™ valve will close in milliseconds to prevent the passage of hot particles, glowing embers, flame, or pressure from continuing to flow through the pipe. The medium of actuation is plant compressed air stored in a tank on the valve to ensure the fastest response possible under any plant conditions.
Pinch valves are designed for use in almost any pipeline handling combustible dust. The Interceptor®-VE™ pinch valve is a perfect isolation device for pneumatic conveying systems, dust collection systems, cyclones, mills, and storage vessels.
