A large company who supplies high quality titanium metal products was searching for a reliable way to detect any plugged chute conditions that may arise in their process. Titanium is used in hundered of diverse aerospace, industrial and emerging applications where no other metal is as reliable or economical, especially on a lifecycle costing basis.
The customer was looking for a level control to be successfully used as a plugged chute detector; the customer had experienced problems with RF probes from another manufacturer. Plugged chute detection is critical to make sure the material is flowing properly through a process. A plugged chute condition can cause problems with transfer rates, mix ratios, and production “down stream”. Monitor offers several options for plugged chute detection. Pelletron introduces the new RC-Series DeDuster® with the CentraCone™ technology (Patent pending)
Pelletron sold hundreds of small P1 and P5 series DeDusters® to plastic processing companies, mainly injection molders, worldwide. Continuous customer demands for a flexible DeDuster® that can handle only a few lbs/h (kg/h) as well as larger quantities were the driving factor for the development of the new RC-Series DeDuster® with the CentraCone™ technology. This new DeDuster® was designed to supersede the successful P1 and P5 series. The new design has the same low height as the P1 of 12” (~300mm), but can also clean the P5 capacities of 500lbs/h (~250kg/h). (more…)

(ESI), formally opened its new state-of-the-art, 140,000 square-foot facility located at 9575 N. 109th Ave., just east of Blair High Road.
